2. Abbreviations for various sensors in automobiles
1. Oxygen sensor: When the oxygen sensor fails, the ECU cannot obtain this information and does not know whether the amount of gasoline injected is correct. Improper air-fuel ratio can lead to a decrease in engine power and increase emission pollution;
2、 Wheel speed sensor: It mainly collects the rotational speed of the car to determine whether there are signs of slipping. Therefore, there is a specialized sensor for collecting the wheel speed of the car to complete this task. It is usually installed on the hub of each wheel, and once the sensor is damaged, the ABS will be ineffective;
3、 Water temperature sensor: When the water temperature sensor rubber exciter fails, it often displays the temperature signal of the hot car when starting the cold car. The ECU cannot receive the correct signal and can only supply a thinner mixture to the engine. Therefore, it is difficult to start the engine when it is cold, and it is also accompanied by unstable idle operation and insufficient acceleration power;
4、 Electronic accelerator pedal position sensor: When the sensor fails, the ECU cannot measure the accelerator position signal and cannot obtain the correct position of the accelerator pedal, resulting in weak engine acceleration and even engine failure to accelerate;
5、 Intake beam land sock pressure sensor: As the name suggests, the intake pressure sensor senses a series of resistance and pressure changes with different engine speed loads, converts them into voltage signals, and provides ECU with correction of fuel injection quantity and ignition timing angle. Usually installed on the throttle side, if there is a malfunction, it can cause problems such as ignition difficulty, unstable idle, and weak acceleration.
